RED ZONE is a film about WWI, but which takes place today. A drift on the territory which was the war’s theater of operations, and still holds its scars. These tangible after-effects are concentrated into a Red Zone, and the territory itself becomes the main character of the film.
Made without any archival footage, “Red Zone” reveals a landscape that still exudes destruction and chaos. The few people who invest, question and work in this landscape, still live among the echoes of the war.
